ESIT believes in investing in green gold, deforestation and cutting off the use of charcoal, and restoration of mid and semi-urban in spending time to invest in the use of renewable energy and gas. Our combined efforts to accelerate the use of modern cooking facilities that are available in the community through sensitization and investments by the community in changing lifestyles. Our innovative approach towards the use of gas and electrical appliances will make Tanzania’s forest secure, and also investing in the lowering of electrical prices through the use of advanced electrical appliances will make our forest maintained. Our approach reveals successful education on the use and utilization of alternative energy to foster new life changes and planning of trees, reserving water sources, and accelerating government policies towards the establishment of small-scale gas supplies at a lower cost. Our monitoring tools will enable managing how to staff the community to transform the use from the traditional use of charcoal and firewood to advanced alternative energy. A family-to-family (Mpango wa kaya Kwa Kaya Nishati Mbadala – MKAA KWANINI Program), this sensitization program (Why Charcoal Program) will enable change use and advance knowledge on the agenda towards utilization of new advanced energy for domestic purposes.
MKAA Kwanini Program Strategies
1. Advanced distribution of metered gas according to charges (Lipa Kadiri Tunavyotumia Gesi – LIKATUGEME in Sukuma vernacular language) – Acha tujaribu Program in English Let’s Try It.
a. The community family subsidies will be provided as an incentive to all families that will accept the fundamental shift from traditional domestic consumption to renewable energy consumption.
b. The program will facilitate families to manage meeting gas procurement demand based on daily income and consumptions and this catalyst program will eventually change the behavior on the use of traditional cooking culture.
2. The use of low power consumption cooking utensils (the program will support) distribution of all Clients received REA electrical supplies with the advanced cooking pot that will eventually manage to cook rice, and beans in 10-minute intervals with as low as price connected to electrical bills. The utilities will be distributed as an aid to all families that will accept behavioral change from charcoal and firewood consumptions and the quantitative and qualitative benefits and opinions will be monitored through a special application, our social officers will be collecting data on a weekly basis to inform acceptance and consumption trends.
